You guys know how much I love prayer journaling, right? I have written pretty extensively on the topic. I have even created a free 21 Day Email Challenge that comes right to your inbox!
Today, I am going to talk about the four most important reasons WHY you should start a prayer journal TODAY!
Prayer is very important to the Lord. Through prayer, we repent, ask for help, express gratitude, and above all—PRAISE GOD. Prayer is our open line of communication—direct access to the “throne of grace.”
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” (Hebrews 4:6)
With that in mind—here are the 4 most important reasons why YOU need to start a prayer journal today!

A Prayer Journal Will Hold You Accountable–
If you struggle to be consistent in your prayer time, then a prayer journal is just what you need. By dating each entry in your prayer journal, you are creating a written record of your prayer time. There are many times when I see the date on my previous entry and I know that I haven’t spent enough time seeking the Lord’s will for my life.
While you might be tempted to feel guilt and shame—do not do that! That is not from God. Repent, and do better next time.
A Prayer Journal Creates a Record of God’s Hand in Your Life–

Every time the people saw the stones, they would be reminded of the glory and goodness ofGod. This is how I view my prayer journal–like a stone of remembrance.
I can look back through my journal and see all of the places God showed up—even when I didn’t see it at the time.
A Prayer Journal is a Judgment-Free Place to Bare Your Soul–
A prayer journal gives you a free space to write down anything this is on your mind—without editing. God already knows where your heart is and what is going on inside, so there is
I’m telling you what—it is so freeing to just write exactly what is in my mind and then allow God to work on those parts that might be ugly.
God is in the business of restoration—so allow Him to do a good work in you.

A prayer journal allows you
