Are you a mom who worries? These 12 encouraging Bible verses are perfect for you! Circle them, memorize them and keep them on the tip of your tongue. #bibleverse #worriedmom #anxiety #depression

Before I share these encouraging Bible verses about worry (see also: stress and anxiety) I just want to sayhow much these scriptures have impacted my life. Like any addiction, the first step began with admitting that to myself that the worry I was carrying around was affecting my daily life–it was becoming a problem.

Mood swings, over-eating, and isolating myself were just a few of the ways anxiety (worry) and depression negatively impacted my life.

Once I admitted that these were not just bad habits, but consequences of living a worried life—I realized that I COULD NOT carry these burdens on my own.

Even if I actually wanted to, (which I didn’t) I physically could not.

I would love to say that I am cured of my worry, but that’s not true. It has been a daily decision that only I can make.

Am I going to worry about what the day will hold and be paralyzed? Or am I going to trust that God has already made a way?

Most days I choose trust, freedom and forward motion. But some days I don’t.

I’m a work in progress.

These 12 verses are encouraging me along my journey of LETTING IT GO and GIVING IT TO GOD.

12 Encouraging Bible Verses to Circle if you are a Mom who Worries

Psalms 16:8

“I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.”

Isaiah 41:10

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

Matthew 6:34

“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”

Luke 10:41-42

“But the Lord answered her, ‘Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.’”

Philippians 4:6-7

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”

Matthew 11:28-30

“Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.’”

Hebrews 13:5-6

Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.” So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear.  What can mere people do to me?”

Proverbs 12:25

“Worry weighs a person down; an encouraging word cheers a person up.”

Lamentations 3:22-23

“The faithful love of the Lord never ends. His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”

Romans 12:12

“Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.”

Psalms 55:22

“Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.”

Thank you for these handpicked list. I personally believe that sometimes even if we try not to worry, it is just our nature to really worry but then we can just get over it once we’re able to finish dealing with it. However, there are situations that really bothers or worries us sometimes and we just need prayers.
