How I became a Christian Blogger, and how you can, too! Being a blogger can be hard when you are a Christian. How do you know who to trust? Check out this awesome list of Christian blogger resources. Don't miss it! #christianblogger #gracegirls #proverbs31 #newblogger #blogger

Since starting The Modern Mary blog a couple of years ago, I have received a LOT of Emails about a variety of things–prayer requests, spiritual direction, grammatical errors in my writing, questions from new believers and a sprinkling of other faith-related things.

However, you might be surprised to learn that the most common questions that I get are related to blogging.

You guys, I have NEVER written anything, anywhere, about blogging.

It’s not that I don’t love talking and learning about blogging (because I really do!) it’s just that I didn’t think that blogging had anything to do with other people’s faith.

But why on earth would I come to this conclusion when The Modern Mary has been such a huge part of my faith journey over the past couple of years?

Bible Verses for Christian Bloggers & Writers! Habakkuk 2:2 #ChristianWriter #ChristianBlogger #BibleVerse

A verse that is often associated with being a writer of any kind is Habakkuk 2:2 (NIV) which says:

Then the Lord replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.”

I have to be honest, I never related to the word, “herald” and I never bothered to look up what it means (for the record it means an official messenger bringing news or a  person or thing viewed as a sign that something is about to happen.)

But as you know, I’m reading the Bible chronologically this year in the New Living Translation and I came across this same verse and it clicked to me in a different way because ONE WORD changed.

Then the Lord said to me, “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others.”

I cannot relate to a herald, but I can relate to a runner!

I can be a runner–a messenger–telling people about the Good News!

Isn’t it funny how different words hit us in different ways? I knew that God was calling me to share my Christian blogging experience with others who might have an interest in blogging for Jesus. How can more voices sharing Biblical truths online be a bad thing?

There is room at the table for everyone.

If you’re a regular reader of The Modern Mary and have no interest in blogging at all–don’t worry, I’m not going to be blogging about blogging all the time. There probably won’t be much mention of it at all in my regular newsletter, either.

If you fall into any of these 3 categories, you should sign up for my exclusive Christian Blogger Newsletter:

  1. You have an interest in this blogging thing and want to know more
  2. You are a relatively new blogger and want to take your blogging game to the next level
  3. You have been a blogger for a long time but you still love learning about awesome resources

I can promise you that I won’t spam you with a bunch of useless information (because nobody likes that). What I will do is provide you with valuable resources to help you on your blogging journey–and I’ll do it all from a Christian perspective, which can be hard to find online.

Be encouraged if you feel called to blogging–it can be challenging, but it is so worth it.

You should know that I am NOT a blogging expert–I’m probably not going to write books and courses on the subject–but I have tried to find the best and most trustworthy experts in the field and then learn from them.

I would LOVE to pass this information on to you!
